नमस्ते! मैं आप सबका प्यारा हरा-भरा तोता। आप सब जानते ही है की अभी लॉक-डाउन चल रहा है। तो इसमें मेरे मालिक भी मेरी तरह ही घर रूपी पिंजरे मैं कैद हैं। अब तो मुझे उनपर तरस आने लगा है, मेरी तरह ही उनके पास कोई काम नहीं रह गया है – उठो, खाओ, पियो और सो जाओ😂। मेरी ही तरह - उनको कहीं भी घूमने जाने को नहीं मिलता, अपने दोस्तों के घर जाने को नहीं मिलता, पर उनकी किस्मत फिर भी थोड़ी अच्छी है कि उनके पास फोन है, जिसकी सहायता से वह और लोगों से बातें कर सकते हैं, पर मेरे पास तो यह सुविधा भी उपलब्ध नहीं है😅।


हाय! बेचारे मेरे मालिक, मेरी तरह ही - बाहर उड़ते हुए पक्षियों को टुकुर-टुकुर देखकर मन ही मन रोते हैं, पर एक बात तो है की आज कल वो मेरे साथ काफी समय बिताते हैं। इस बीमारी का कहर तो देखो कि हर कोई मेरी ज़िंदगी जीने पर मजबूर है, शायद इसी कारण आज कल मेरे आज़ाद दोस्त मुझे आसमान में ज़्यादा दिखते हैं। जैसे मेरे पंख किसी काम के नहीं हैं, इसी पिंजरे में फड़फड़ा कर थक जाते हैं, उसी तरह मेरे मालिक को भी आज-कल अपने हाथ किसी काम के नहीं लगते – जो ज़रा सा काम करने में भी इतराते हैं🤭।

जिस प्रकार मेरी आशा भरी नज़रें आज़ाद पक्षियों को देखती हैं, उसी प्रकार मेरे मालिक भी बाहर गश्त दे रहे पुलिस वालों को आशा भारी नज़रों से देखते हैं, परंतु क्या करें हम सब ही इस वक्त लाचार हैं😔, फ़र्क बस इतना है की मेरी लाचारी जीवन भर की है और उनकी लाचारी काश जल्द ही खतम हो जाए – क्योंकि, जैसे भी हैं मेरे मालिक हैं वो, भले ही मुझे पिंजरे में बंद करके रखते हों, लेकिन मेरा बहुत ध्यान रखते हैं, मैं उनकी परेशानी नहीं देख सकता, भले ही वो मेरी परेशानी न देख पाएं।


मिसाल देते हो हौसलों की उड़ान की,
पर कीमत नहीं तुम्हें पक्षी की जान की।

ऐसी क्या थी मेरी खता,
जो आजीवन कारावास की मिली मुझे सज़ा।

हे ऊपर वाले! मुझे अगले जन्म चिड़िया न बनाना,
मुझे एक और जीवन पिंजरे में नहीं बिताना।

मेरा तो चलो ठीक, अब तो इंसान भी हैं बंद,
चकनाचूर हो गया – उसका आज़ाद रहने का घमंड।

मेरी तो अब आदत में है ऐसे जीना,
तुम्हारा तो कुछ दिनों में ही छूट गया पसीना।

सोचा होगा घूमेंगे कहाँ-कहाँ,
पर किस्मत का खेल तो देखो - आज मैं जहाँ, तुम भी वहाँ।

मुझे उम्मीद है की इस मुश्किल की घड़ी में आपको शायद मेरी मनोदशा के बारे में कुछ ज्ञात हुआ होगा। एक ही जगह 24 घंटे बंद रहना – वो भी हमेशा के लिए कितना कष्टदायक होता है – अब तो आप भी ये बात जानते ही हैं। सबसे ज़्यादा बुरा तब लगता है जब बाहर के आज़ाद पक्षी और लोग भी हमारी दुर्दशा पर हँसते हैं। इतनी घुटन और इतनी लाचारी भगवान किसी को न दें! मैं बस ये ही आशा करता हूँ की सब कुछ जल्दी ही सामान्य हो जाए, और आप लोगों को इस आपदा में जो भी सीख मिली है आप उसको जीवन भर याद रखें। मेरा यह जीवन तो कैद में बीत गया, अब तो मैं बस ये ही प्रार्थना करता हूँ की मेरी आने वाली पीढ़ी को पिंजरे में कभी न रहना पड़े।

A Pen-Friend

  Life is amusing. And by amusing, I mean very interesting. We meet people. Some, we befriend while some we just snub from our lives and wish that we could just obliviate the moment we met them. Let’s not talk about snubbing or discarding somebody. Let’s talk about the bond that we form with those that are close in our lives.
