Smartphones have become indispensable these days for
everyone. No one of us can imagine life without it for a few hours. It's been
added or rather has occupied the place of necessities like food and shelter.
This might sound exaggerating but is as true as the Earth rotating on its axis.
Moreover, to add to this- "Corona Kaal" has played a
pivotal role in making smartphones an unavoidable asset. Smartphones have
become a mandatory requirement for your online classes - apart from this since
smartphones and data are more accessible nowadays- we use them for
entertainment, gaming, shopping, business, and whatnot?
The primary drawback smartphones have is making students physically and mentally lethargic (You can play games, study, and whatever) ...But as they find everything on a single click, they don't generally tend to think more about something (Nowadays there are apps to solve your math problems) *Digests for the newer generation.
This has made students less analytical and the ability to
think extensively has been reduced drastically. Everything for them seems to be
instant and ready to go. Unfortunately, this is leading to a reduction in the
level of patience and perseverance which further leads to lesser creativity and
accumulation of more data that is indeed not required for brain development and
its health.
Everything has its benefits only if used wisely and
responsibly but at the same time know that majority of students of the present
generation engage themselves in distractions such as games and other things
that directly-indirectly affect their career, health, and life.
As the problem is widespread and persists everywhere, we need to find some practical solution so that technology aids new generations in creating better lives by making them good learners, decision-makers, and problem-solvers for the greater good. There is a compulsive need for regulations and solutions to prevent this. We all need to introspect, consider the path we are following, and decide for our betterment before the dead-end is nearby.
